Born and raised in the fields of Oklahoma
Went to school in a very small town
After a while I decided on a change
Planned to go to New York where they say is crazy
In some days a fell in love with this big city
Big city, they call it Big Apple
All the city lights blurry my eyes
With the mad traffic and typical noises
I was amazed with the accent and so many voices
Police, ambulances and Fire fighters
Passing by my place most of the time
I love you New York, with all my heart
People walk fast, they seem to be mean
But when you know them, you, quickly
change your mind
Just like anyone there I knew in my life
It all depends on the way you treat them
They are fine, they are human like any one of us
All the city lights blurry my eyes
With the mad traffic and typical noises
I was amazed with the accent and so many voices
Police, ambulances and Fire fighters
Passing by my place most of the time
I love you New York, with all my heart
Come visit New York, the place I learned to love
Even the meal is nice from everywhere
If you get lonesome, you can call home
Because of the feeling of home, we can never change
But now I call New York my home
I hope this feeling will never be gone
New York…New York
